Life Is A Celebration (from Parallel/Rainbow – 2017)
Earlier Ideas: “Life Is A Celebration is a fluffy little throwback, pushed by retro synths, bass guitar and a repeated drum loop. In some methods, it’s fairly restrained, but provides a tackle the GFriend sound that also feels contemporary.” (full overview)
Up to date ideas: I like the 80’s really feel of this. The synth textures and programmed drums are a match made in heaven and match properly with GFriend’s gentle vocals. The verses are fairly laidback however the refrain surges with an influence that anchors the observe properly. Yuju sounds particularly assured on this one, including a weight to the track that elevates it past a easy summer season trifle. The second verse rap can also be enjoyable and slightly foolish. If I have been to explain this in a single phrase, it could be “refreshing.”
