From Me (from Labyrinth – 2020)
We’ve had quite a lot of bangers this week, and now it’s time for one thing extra light. From Me retains a traditional GFriend tone, however tempers the theatrics. If different tracks gave the impression of an enormous, bustling metropolis, this one’s extra… rural? There’s a pleasing simplicity to the association, shining give attention to the vocal melody. The issue is, the vocal melody isn’t significantly memorable. It’s fairly fairly and really emotive. I simply want the refrain hit me within the coronary heart greater than it does. Because it stands, From Me appears like late-album filler.
