Following his 2022 launch, The Rear View, legendary rapper/producer Diamond D returns to staff up with a star-studded solid of visitor emcees on The Diam Piece 3: Initium. It serves as the ultimate installment in his producer compilation sequence and also will be launched in three components. Following Initium, D plans to launch Duo and Tria over the course of the subsequent six months.
“At the moment of brief consideration spans, I’d by no means launch an album with 29 songs,” Diamond D explains. “That’s why I’m selecting to launch ‘The Diam Piece 3 as three EPs,’ launched each three months, so each may be appreciated and absorbed by itself.”
On Initium, the DITC cofounder offers his trademark hard-hitting manufacturing for the likes of KRS-One, Inspectah Deck, 38 Spesh, RJ Payne, Fatman Scoop, Royal Flush, Skyzoo, Sauce Cash, Torae, Lord Tariq, and Bonecrusher, amongst many others. For the monitor’s lead single, Diamond needed to spotlight his collaboration with KRS, “The Kings,” as a celebration of their earlier work collectively on cuts like “Construct Ya Skillz,” “Squash All Beef,” and the “Step right into a World” remix.
“I crafted a darkish and gritty monitor that gave Kris the backdrop to do what he does greatest—spit laborious bars!” D added. It’s that very same feeling of true collaboration that makes everything of this EP so successful, and it serves as one other instance of Diamond D’s unbelievable abilities as a producer.
“The Kings” hits DSPs on July 26, with The Diam Piece 3: Initium, set to drop on August ninth through DSPs and vinyl by way of Diamond D’s personal Dymond Mine Information.
